Wandering Parts: IKEA blinds controller

Working in partnership with Tarim from Media Playgrounds to design a controller for a set of IKEA blinds. The blinds had been replaced with artwork, and were automatically unveiled and wound up periodically.

The design runs off of a micro-controller running the Arduino framework from a lithium battery. To control the blinds, the remotes were disassembled and their pads soldered to and connected to the custom PCB

Unfortunately due to the age of the project, photos of the final design and installation cannot be provided at this time.
