Working with Tine Bech to create an homage to Dan Flavin at Durham’s The Light
The installation repurposed my custom IO control system, this time utilising a custom node-based web UI to design the interactivity. The switches connect to the IO controller, which generates Artnet based data based on these switch states
Due to the location & long running length of this installation, consideration of fire regulations had to be taken into account and can be seen in ways such as the fire-proof steel enclosures for the LED controller and drivers.
Consideration had to also be taken into account for a solution allowing damaged parts such as LED battens to be easily replaced out if broken
